OSU Spring Game!

OSU Lima organized a trip to the Scarlet and Gray Spring Football Game on April 22nd. We met at the Lima campus around 9:30AM and then headed to Columbus. I decided to follow the charter bus to the game since I wanted to stay in Columbus longer. Dean, Mali, and Cody rode along with me. Our car ride was hilarious. We were jamming to some good buckeye music, passing Divya's car a thousand times, and pretty much laughing at everything Dean did.

I really enjoyed watching the game. I was rooting for Todd Boeckman and Ross Homan. Todd Boeckman is the back up back up quarterback right now, and he got to see a lot of playing time during the spring game. Todd is from St. Henry, which is about 20 minutes away from where I live. His high school was in the same conference as mine. Ross Homan is a freshman linebacker and I think he has the potential to start in the fall. He is from Coldwater, which is also another high school in my conference. As you can tell, I really love my Buckeye football. I'm a sports nut!

After the game, we ended up running into the Buckeyeman! The whole Lima crew got to take a picture with him.

Unfortunately, Dean, Mali, and Cody decided not to stay in Columbus with me. They took the charter bus back to Lima, but I had fun without them! I had the opportunity to visit and party with people that I haven't seen in a long time. Overall, it was a memorable day!

Cheryl's April Fool's Night!

So far April has started off with 100% FUN!! My friends decided to celebrate my 20th birthday on April 1st at the New Bremen bowling alley. We were reflecting on the gool ol' days of 4-H Camp, and we started talking about the one time they offered swing dance lessons. So, we decided to see how much we still remembered by dancing in between the tables. Haha. A little while later, I was sitting by the bar talking to some people when all of a sudden I turned around and saw Michael down on one knee. He was holding out a purple ring and sweetly asked "Miss Cheryl Dircksen...will you marry me?" I was in complete shock, and started laughing so hard that I fell off the bar stool. I don't even think that I replied with a "yes" or a "no." I think I just gave him my left hand so that he could put it on. Then all my friends went along with the joke by applauding and congratulating us. We actually fooled the entire bowling alley. They honestly thought that it was a real proposal. I had lots of random people congratulating me and wanting to see the ring, and well...I didn't have the ring anymore! I gave it back to the girl it belonged to, so we put my class ring on my left hand instead.
