I am about 1/3 of the way through winter quarter. (woo-hoo!) Theatre 100 is going great. We've been reading plays and discussing theatre concepts. Today in class we watched 3 different segments of a scene from Hamlet to show how playwrighters make their adaptations of the same play.
Last week, my HDFS class was interesting. Tuesday, we had a guest speaker come in to talk to us about diversity and how us future educators can deal with these differences. On Thursday, we had another guest speaker. This speaker was from the health department and talked to us about sex.
Classical mythology is very interesting. I learned about how Father Sky and Mother Earth mated. We also learned about the tales of Zeus and his siblings who are the Olympians. And last week we learned about Oedipus and how he killed his father and married his mother.
This weekend, I went down to Columbus to look for apartments. I ran across some pretty shady areas. Places that were unclean and looked like they were going to fall apart. Some of the neighborhoods were a little creepy too. In the end, I kind of wished that I could just stay at home and finish my major in Lima. I would definitely feel safer here! Unfortunately, I have a major that can not be completed at Lima. (Darn!)
Well, I need to head off to my mythology class....I wonder what tale I will hear today!

do most students at Osu lima finish up at the main campus? so does the average person only stay for like a year or two?
I really don't know the answer to that question. I know lots of people who are staying all four years and I also know lots of people who are going to finish up in Columbus. I honestly don't know what the statistics are.
